The Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA) (29 USC §§ 621-634) protects employees from age discrimination. Only employees over the age of 40 are permitted to bring a claim of age discrimination under the ADEA.

Under Oregon state law, no person over the age of 18 may be discriminated against based upon age.
