Gail Stevens, Law Clerk

David MelvilleIn addition to providing valuable research and writing skills for Charese Rohny Law Office, LLC on a contract basis, Gail Stevens is currently an instructor of law for paralegals. Gail is an instructor at Everest College in Vancouver, Washington.  She has developed and implemented a paralegal program modeled after a first year law program with a focus on paralegal skills for undergraduate students.  In 2008, Gail received a regional award for inspiring Everest College students in the Portland/Vancouver area. 

Gail received her doctorate of jurisprudence from the University of Oregon, School of Law in 2000.  After receiving her law degree, Gail’s work focused on human rights and social justice issues, including important civil rights in the employment sector.  She has worked as a law clerk and research assistant at firms specializing in employment law on behalf of employers as well as firms focusing on solely employee rights. 

Gail graduated with honors from the University of Oregon’s International Studies program.  Her thesis work in Guatemala and human rights work in Central America earned her a scholarship to law school.
