David MelvilleDavid Melville is an experienced lawyer who practices in areas of complex litigation and appellate issues.  David is a highly qualified appellate lawyer who works on a contract basis with Charese Rohny Law Office, LLC. 

David graduated in the top of his class at University of Nebraska, College of Law in 1994.  And after working for Legal Aid in Lincoln, Nebraska, clerking for a federal magistrate in United States District Court in Nebraska, and teaching law as a Visiting Assistant Professor at University of Illinois, College of Law, he came to Portland, Oregon in 1998.  

In Portland, David worked for Chief United States District Judge Ancer L. Haggerty as a judicial law clerk for approximately two years.  He then worked at Markowitz, Herbold, Glade and Mehlhaf, PC exclusively for about five years as an attorney handling appeals and complex litigation.  In 2005, he decided to be more independent in building his practice, and although he continues to do significant work with Markowitz, Herbold, Glade and Mehlhaf, PC, he also does contract work with other select firms that he chooses.
